Pine Lodge, located on Liverpool Road, Chester, took Archway Homes to a whole new level.
The development derived its name from the former neo-Tudor cottage that stands proudly at the entrance. Dating from 1882, Archway Homes felt that this incredible part of Chester's history should not be demolished, as was planned. Instead they set about refurbishing and restoring this beautiful building back to its former glory as a prestigious private residence.
The accompanying buildings and extensions on the site were cleared and made way for an exciting development of just 6 new build homes, secluded by established trees and within walking distance of the historic, vibrant city center. The designs were taken from Archway's now extensive portfolio of properties, but modified externally to tie in and enhance the old black and white timbered elevation of the refurbished Lodge.
All the homes on this stunning development were four bedroom detached properties, benefiting from two en suites, all with garage, three with double garage.
Archway Homes sets itself apart and prides itself on exceptional attention to detail and a high specification throughout. The refurbished Pine Lodge and the new homes were no exception, with brushed chrome light and power fittings. Included were oak veneer internal doors, also with chrome furniture, generous sized rooms and modern layouts. Granite or stone worktops and NEFF integrated appliances were standard in the well-designed high quality kitchens. A beautiful oak staircase was fitted, along with Hammonds wardrobes in the master and guest bedrooms.
The care and attention bestowed on refurbishing a stunning old building, using original plans to help determine the best layout, gave the Archway team a real sense of purpose, achievement and pride. At the end of the development the whole team was very sad to hand over the keys and say goodbye to such an incredible project.
